MOSCOW, March 23 (RIA Novosti) - On August 2 through 6, 2006 the town of Zhukovsky (the Moscow region) and the training area in Krasnoarmeisk will host an international integrated exhibition of land forces" armament and an airshow, Vladimir Paleshchuk, Deputy Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, told journalists in Moscow. "This European-scale event will represent modern technical achievements of the military industrial complex, the whole range of military output for ground forces for the purpose of obtaining new foreign outlets and partners," Paleshchuk was quoted as saying. "It will be the first time such integrated exhibition is held in Russia," the official pointed out. Ground forces" materiel in operation will be displayed at the training area in Krasnoarmeisk, while the air show in Zhukovsky will feature various piloting exercises. The exhibition will embrace the total of over 28,000 square meters. Thirty-eight well-equipped chalets will be assigned for the work of exhibitors and business visitors. Over 800 enterprises are expected to take part in the exhibition. Invitations have been sent to more than 6,000 participants, including over 4,000 enterprises from 50 Russian regions, over 300 ventures from 9 CIS countries and over a hundred firms from 60 other states. Pilots from Russia, Italy, Turkey, France and other countries will take part in the air show, which will include helicopter, sporting aeroplane and light aviation performances. The air show will feature aeroplanes of the world leading powers" air forces. The Russkiye Vityazi (Russian Knights), Nebesnye Rytsari (Sky Knights) and Strizhi (Swifts) pilot groups will participate in the show.
