Russia has delivered a second planeload...

A Russian emergencies ministry Il-76 flew the aid to the neighboring Sichuan Province.

A ministry spokesman earlier told RIA Novosti that the 28 tons of cargo included medicines, disinfectants and medical equipment.

The first planeload of Russian aid - about 40 tons of tents, blankets, diesel generators and food - was delivered to China on April 24.

The 7.1-magnitude earthquake hit northwest China"s Qinghai Province on April 14, claiming the lives of about 2,200 people and injuring at least another 12,000, 1,500 seriously. The epicenter was in Yuyshu County, which is almost 4,000 meters above sea level near Tibet and Sichuan.
