MOSCOW, October 5 (RIA Novosti) - Alrosa...
Alrosa, which accounts for 97% of Russian and 25% of global diamond output, sold diamonds worth $651.5 million in September, with the larger part sold to the State Depositary, the company said in a statement.
Alrosa CEO Fyodor Andreyev earlier said the company intended to sell diamonds worth $2.75 billion in 2009 or about the same volume it sold in 2008.
The federal government holds a controlling stake in Alrosa.
